What You’ll Learn & Make
Step 1: Shape the Wire:
You will bend and twist craft wire to sculpt a hollow, 3D shape (whatever shapes you want). We will keep the bottom completely open so it can easily slip over a lamp base.
Step 2: Build the Walls:
Once your wire frame is ready, you will paste layers of light weight paper (like tissue or mulberry paper) over the wire. This creates a textured "skin" that lets light glow through.
Step 3: Light It Up:
Wire up your creation and watch your handmade paper sculpture transform into a one-of-a-kind lampshade. Take it home and place it on any compatible lamp base or light fixture to bring your own sculptural light into your space.
